Friends Across Centuries

I think surely I would like to be friend with Samuel Johnson because I always like to meet new people and view different points of view. He would surely talk about different things than anyone of that time because he was a very peculiar and different person. It was as if he was not human and thought differently. It would be very interesting hearing his stories of life or how he made his dictionary. Hearing him talk would surely be fascinating. Maybe at some point I would be a little overwhelmed with his strange personality, but surely I would enjoy the time spent with him. Another good thing about this man would be that he was rich and famous, so it would be fun if he shared some of this things with me. It would be really interesting to talk to such an imaginative and very knowledgable person. He could instruct me all of the things he knows about life and all his experiences in life. We could enjoy good meals, eating until being full, and have a lot of glasses of wine, while telling anecdotes and stories from our lives. We could just stay a whole afternoon talking and just relaxing. He could write books, while I read them and told him how good the story was or what he needed to change. I would surely love to be the first person to read Samuel Johnson’s books and to have his dictionary. Surely, having his dictionary would be a very good thing; whenever I read a book and I did not understanded a word I could search in the dicitionary. For me, how he wrote many books and his dictionary is the main reason I would talk to him and be his friend. I think we could really think about life and read many bookds together. To hear talk a person as excentric and as bright as him would surely be a delightful thing for my ear. So, if you ask me if I would like to be friend of Samuel Johnson, I would answer: sure, why no!
