Power and Destruction

For me the best example for people who are so obssesed with power and doesn’t care how they obtain it are the drug dealers. They are risking their own life for getting power and money, surely something that does not worth’s it. They could get caught by police and being in the jail for so many years, they could get killed for a bad negociation, they could loose all their money, they can never get out of that rude business, and many more things. It is just not worth to loose such a beautiful life because you want money and power.

A good example is Julius Caesar. He was so obssesed with power and gained so much of it that the senate had to kill him. He was having so much power that now the senate could not controll him. So what they didi to stop him was to send Brutus to kill him. But besides this he risked his life many more times for power. He even used all his money to earn power. He went to dangerous wars and did so many things to gain power. I think you should always ambition with power but never to the extent of risking your life.

Another good example are the terrorists of afghanistan. They have killed not only themselves but also innocent people. They are searching so much for power that thy sacrifice their own lifes so that thei religion has more power. As long as I know any God that made us never made us to just die, he created us to live and have a good life. So it is not good to just go killig peopl and also yourself.

You should alwasy have limits in life and when you pass that limits you are committing a great mistake. So always try to never be obssesed with something. You just have to focuse on things the necessary time because if they become in an obssession your life will become totally unbalanced. You start to fail in all the other parts of life. For example, if you are so obssesed with power you will concentrate only in that and maybe you are getting very little time with your familiy and friends. After some time this people may resent this so its always better to have a balanced life.

Another example is eddy from the cartoon network series ed, edd, and eddy. He is so obssesed with money that he is always trying new forms to get money. He even tells lies to his friends in order for them to pay him. Most of the time it results that eddy looses his money because his friends discover their lies or in so many other forms. Then all his friends gets mad with him and sometimes he gets punched. So its a good example never to try to get something without caring how you get it.

For me the saying that the end justifies the means is a very false statement. It always matter what you did to deserve something. For example, if you cheated in an exam but at the end you won a class it is just simply bad because you made something inmoraly to have a good result. o it always matters what you make to achieve a goal . Thats why sometimes when we are obssesed with something we don’t care of the things we make in order to achieve our goal. Try always to stay in the right path.

Crime and Consequence

I think that everything you do in your life is going to get repaid. For example, if you did something good to someone that someone will do something good to you, in the other way, if you did something bad to someone that someone will do something bad to you. So that is why we should always try to be the best we are with everyone. Never hurt someone and if you do always apologize.

Sometimes one simple action can affect your whole life and change it completely. For example, if you decide to go at 120 km/h in the street the consequence can be that you could crash and or either die or get hurt badly. Lets supose that because of the crash your legs had to be amputated. Now your whole life has changed. Now you can’t walk and have to be in a wheelchair, all of this because you made a very simple decision, but a bad one. Now you can’t do many things and you have to make decisions, related to walking and transporting, based on the little decision you made.

It is always better to think twice what you say and do because you never know when you can hurt someone. Always think a lot of times what you are about to say because sometimes what you say hurts most than what you do. For example, if you don’t know that a friend has a brother with the down syndrome and you start joking that a friend looks like one, your friend could feel really hurt by joking with what he has to take care everyday because he can’t take care of himself. Try also to never tell racist jokes.

Sometimes the most simple things can affect a person really bad and make his whole day or whole life bad. For example, if you make pranks of a person and always bother him he will surely have bad feelings for you. This is what has happened in universities of the United States when normal people suddenly killed people of their universities. You never know how much you can change a person so its always better to change a person into a positive way.

Life is about giving and receiving. Try to always give more than what you take and see how wonderful is life. Always have a smile in your face and you will surely receive one back. Try to make others day a better one and maybe when you have a bad day he will make your day a happier one. Always be grateful and you will see how grateful people will be with you. Remember all of this and when you apply them see how life changes to a more positive way. Remember that what you give you receive back, so always give the best of you!

The Poem Across Time

For me liberty is something that is gained. Liberty is something we all are born with but when we misbehave we loose it. So that is why its so important to behave in life. You should always respect laws in a society if you want your liberty. If not you would surely end in jail. Try to live your life with liberty and happiness but always following rules.

When love is with unconfined wings it doesn’t matter how far you are or anything else. It just matters that they two love. Even if someone is in prision they will still love each other. In modern times there are fathers who think his daughter’s boyfriend is not good enough for her so they prohibit her to marry him. This is the best example in modern day. I think this is the only way to stop love.

Even when you are prisioned you can still talk of your beliefs and the things you like. No one can stop someone to do what they like to do or what they can talk of. For example in the poem when he talks about his king. He is proud of all his glories and victories. No one can stop you from thinking in a way or in your opinion.

You have the liberty to choose. No one can choose for you I you don’t want. Never let others tell you what to do. For example when a friend tells you to try a drug and you don’t want. Learn to say no even when you have pressure by others. Remember you can always choose, so always choose the right path.

Another time in which you feel you have to choose another path that you don’t want is when your father tells you which career he wants you to study. There are fathers that wants to control their son’s life because they think in that way they will succeed in life. You should always talk to your parents about what you really want in life and make them clear that mabe you don’t like what they like. Remember you can always choose and you cant explain to your parents in a good mood.

Apostrophe

Wavy, it curls the trees and moves the grass,

It feels like the essence of the life but with a bit of sweetness.
Sometimes it tastes bitter, but most of the times it tastes good,
good like all the things it gives life to and that without it we would just be what were not, just something else.

Critical Writing

1. In on my first son jonson resolves never again to love so strongly, because his loss is unberable. What do you think of this resolution? What effect could it have on him? 3 paragraphs

It is not good to think this way because if you think in this way you will never love again and love is the basis of life. He lost a child and is sad but he thought wrong of never loving so strong again.

He could never love strong again because he will be traumatized that, like his son, the person he loves strongly will die.

2. In to celia (p258) Jonson dedefines love as the soul’s thirst. Elaborate on this definition in 3 paragraph or a poem (at least as long as To Celia), and create a different definition using your own metaphor.

As gasoline makes function the motor of a car, love makes function our hearts. I think that, as long as the relationship is not fighting all the time, love can change you into a better person. It makes you understand how important you are to someone. Also it maintains you healthy and with more desire to live. The times I have been in love just make me want to wake up the next day and live life to the fullest.

When and where I am happiest

For me is very difficult to decide when and where I am happiest because almost all the day I am happy. I just love every part of my days because each day are so different. But if I had to choose maybe I would say a friday at 2 p.m. This is because after friday we have Saturday and Sunday to rest from school. Most of the time in a friday afternoon i go out with my friends. We vary in the places we go. Most of the time we go to parties to have lots of fun. This is my favorite activty to do a friday because I love to party with my friends. We go to places like Kalhua, Pangea, houses of friends, or Gabana. We dance all night, meet with friends, and meet new girlds. If that day we do not have a party sometimes we go to a friend’s house and have a few drinks. Those times are happy because you laugh a lot and we have a peaceful time talking. This is my second favorite activity to do on a friday. Another thing we do is to go to see movies. This one is like the last option for a friday because is not as fun as the other activities, but if there is nothing else to do is a good things. There are very few times in a friday that I do not do anything. That days I spend it in the computer. I play games, chat, go to facebook, see a movie in my house, watch tv, or just sleep.

Besides fridays, I like school. Most of the teenagers do not like school but I really enjoy it. This is because I am with my friends all day and we have so much fun just laughing and having a good time. Also in the reeses we play soccer, talk about life, and many other things. It is very fun to go to school because this is the place where most of the people socialize. So for me school is a very important place in my life.

But for me the best place in the world is New York. This is because I just love that city. I visited it in july of past year. I had so much fun visiting this city. I liked it because it had so many buildings. The girls in there were beautiful. Also the restaurants were delicious. I also liked alot Central Park. This was a very relaxing space, in which you would walk, read, and just relax. I saw theatrical shows that I really liked.

I felt like he had some resentment toward women. Like if a girl broke his heart by going with another men. I felt it was a bit offensive toward women because in other words he is saying no woman on Earth is loyal to his man.

That their love is more beautiful than anything in the world. The love song of Donne is the total opposite of a popular love song.

Popular Songs Today

I think songs this days are based more on infidelity more than in fidelity. But basically it is very balanced between this two type of songs. There are exceptions in which the songs tell about their love’s good qualities and how they love each other, but lately I have heard a lot of songs talking about infidelity. For example a song named no lo vuelvo hacer of joey montana and angel lopez is based on infidelity. This is a very popular song that had his major hit in Valle Verde aroudn the month of February and January. This song tells how the singer betrayed his love and telling her that he will never do it again. Also tells her that he promises he will behave and that if she gives him a chance she will be happy and love him always. Another very popular song that tells about infidelity is Apologize from Timbaland and One Republic. This was a very popular hip-hop/pop song that had his greatest hit in Colegio Valle Verde in between December and January. This song says that is too late for the girl to apologize with the singer. She betrayed him and now he does not want anything with her. He just do not want any apologize or anything about her. Falling in Love Again from Eagle Eye Cherry is a song not about joyful love. In here the singer tells about that he is falling in love with a girl but he had been so much times in love with someone and always they leave him. He asks to her love if she really loves him because he doesn’t want to fall in love again and being hurt again. Another very popular reggaeton song is Soy Igual que Tu of Alexis y Fido. In here he says that both him and his love cheated on each other, so thats why he says he is equal as she. Both cheated on each other and the singer was very sad about it but was willing to forget everything and stay with her again.  Another song about this theme is Wonderful World of James Morrison. This is a pop song that i really like because of the rythm and the lyrics. It talks about that he really loves nature and thinks it is beautiful but he can not see its beauty if his love is not with him. So he is feeling really sad that his girl is not with him to admire nature.

In the other hand, there are a lot of good songs about love and fidelity. One song that represents it is For You I Will from Teddy Geiger. It talks about how beautiful and sweet his love is. How beautiful is his hair and her face. He says that this night he will tell her that he loves her. Also that he will unite all the confidence he has in order to tell her that he loves her. Another song of this type would be A Thousand Miles of Vanessa Carlton. This is a very popular pop song that was at its peak like four or three years before. In this song the girl singer talks that he would walk whatever miles needed in order to see the man she is in love with. Also that she would do anything just to see him.
